Sanjeev Lulla, M.D. is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over 20 years of experience caring for patients in the North Shore. Dr. Lulla grew up outside of Washington, D.C. and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Virginia. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Lulla completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Chicago Hospitals and then began his medical practice at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Glenview, IL in 2004. Dr. Lulla is passionate about using science and evidence-based treatment to help his patients improve their health and live more vibrantly. He consults with his patients on preventative screening, diet, exercise, and mental health, with the goal of helping patients take a central role in managing their overall health. His patients appreciate his forthcoming approach, his warmth and attentiveness, as well as his thoroughness. He loves being an internist because he likens it to being a detective, where the physical exam, history, and presenting issues are the clues he can piece together to determine the diagnosis and best treatment plan.
Dr. Lulla launched Aspire Internal Medicine with the goal of providing outstanding personalized care to his patients. He continues to be on the NorthShore University HealthSystem Professional Staff and maintains admitting privileges at NorthShore University HealthSystem hospitals including Glenbrook, Skokie, Highland Park, and Evanston.
Dr. Lulla is honored to have been recognized as a Top Doctor by Chicago Magazine and Castle Connelly in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 for the patient-centered care he provides and his focus on preventative medicine.
Dr. Lulla lives in Glenview, IL with his wife Shalini. His twin daughter and son are sophomores in college. Dr. Lulla enjoys reading, traveling, and technology.
